InfoWorlds quality has been going down for a long time. But more importantly they (like a lot of other computer mags) are very careless when it comes to checking out stories. They often make minimal or no effort to contact the involved parties. (A good example, they get a bad copy of the disk for a review of a program. They then give the program a bad review since they couldn't boot it. A "normal" person would have gotten a new disk. (Bad disks just happen sometimes, you don't blame the software company for it.) (I know about this cause it happened in a review of one of my programs. Since the disk was bad the mag didn't review the current version of the program but instead tested a much older one (which had some bugs and a lot fewer features).) Maybe if users started complaining to mags like they do to publishers something would get done about this. (Look at your average newspaper. They are pretty careful about what they publish and if they make a mistake it is in the next days paper.) Dan
