Greg, yes that should work. About the only other way to do it is to dynamically allocate the chip ram from within your program and copy the image data into the allocated area. That wastes memory, since you're duplicating the data, but might be acceptable if the amount duplicated is fairly small. The force-loading technique is wasteful too, in a way, since ALL your data will forced into chip RAM, not just the stuff that needs to be there. You might be able to get around that though by using the linker switch that makes each module a separate hunk, putting the image data in its own module, and setting up the linker invocation so that only that module is forced to chip RAM (I _think_ the linker will let you do that).
