I don't know if your comment about the workbench tape was said tongue
in cheek, but let me add this.
At work, I have an AT&T 6300 with HD. It runs about twice as fast as
a normal PC/XT. From the time I flip the power switch on to the time I'm at
the C:> prompt is about 30 to 40 seconds. Doing the same thing with the
Amiga (and about the same amount of commands/code in the startup on each
machine), I'm at the CLI prompt in about 15 to 20 seconds.
