You would have to construct a Lisp routine to do this, and it would not be
too hard to do.
1) build a main selection set of just lines
2) advance through the set pulling out the single line entities
3) using PEDIT, convert line to a pline and join it with the main
selection set. Only the ones connecting will join. After the join is
done you can change the width.
It could be an interesting routine to have around, are you experienced in
lisp programming yet?
