Well, yes, you're right about the NeXT printer – but it was designed to
"leech" off of the Display PS electronics. The basic data being fed _to_
the PS processor is still plain-vanilla every-day reverse-damn-Polish
PostScript.
It is my understanding from talking to NeXT folks that the cube does indeed
support remote printers hanging off the coax by feeding them the usual
PostScript stream. I really grilled 'em on this point, too, and the replies
were positive and consistent.
