Unfortunately your about a year behind. I had seen an ad in Amazing
Computing a while ago regarding an adapter that will do just what you are
talking about. It was just a box that enabled you to connect the Amiga to
a TTL monitor without the flicker. Although it had a drawback, the typical
TTL monitor only has 350 dots vertically, and I think the screen would only
should 350 or the Amiga's 400 vertical dots (I think).
When I called the company, they said they only made a few of these (1 run
of production) and were not making any more. I also asked him about the
350/400 dot thing and he really didn't have an answer (he wasn't sure
either). The box only sold for $100 so it was pretty cheap to get good
screen resolution without interlace flicker. The company was:
Hypertek/Silicon Springs
120-1140 Austin Avenue
Coquitlam, B.C., Canada V3K 3P5
Telephone (604) 939-8235
If you do call them, let me know what they say. I talked to them last
summer, so maybe they have changed their minds or are working on a new
product.
