Cheath, My comments were not directed toward any actions on the part of Croftward in regard to their financing or lack of it for Transami itself, but rather toward their rep in Toronto, who, from the time she started, instituted a policy (sanctioned by Croftward or not), of not paying authors until they bitched loud enough. Without authors, a magazine doesn't have a lot going for it, and it seemed like she was doing her best to make sure that Transami didn't have any left. As I say, if Croftward has a good reputation for fair dealing, their rep was destroying that, at least in the eyes of the authors. I have no evidence that Croftward was in any way attempting to sink Transami, nor did I mean to imply it, if that's the way anyone read my comments. I just don't know enough about the entire situation to be able to make that kind of judgement, and can only comment based upon the way I, and many of my friends were treated. -larry
