What would be really nice is if you could condense or expand a font with
XPress, send a bit of it to the printer, and then suck it back with
Metamorphosis, creating a new "Times 21% condensed" face for yourself. (Is
this possible, Earl?)
I believe you're right about the various formats, and I guess I'd missed
that in your comment. My point was that since the program will dupe an
entire font (all the characters) *and* the kerning tables all in one fell
swoop, it's more appropriate for creating typeface clones than for creating
the outline of one single character. But, then, it's all speculation right
now…
