Ray, If you've look at sidecar.settings, you'll have noticed it's binary, not text, so changing it directly is outside my experience, but you shouldn't have to. I manage to save both. Some questions: 1) Are you trying to save MONO, COLOR, or both? (You can easily force the COLOR window into full screen by choosing more than four colors. But you shouldn't have to do that either). 2) Are you using a third party graphics card? 3) The FIRST TIME you saved your window settings, did you have BOTH WINDOWS open? 4) Have you tried deleting the sidecar. settings file, and starting fresh? (If you do, have both windows open when you save). Sorry to answer your questions with more questions, but over the past month I've discovered there are many different ways of handling these windows, and some work much better than others. It's all complicated by the number of different ways you can "save" things, and the several different files that hold the information. Lee
