Yes, Ed beats it. Yes, EDLIN is pathetic. But an analogy may be in order:
I drive a rusted-through '74 Capri that needs a ring job, a new muffler,
and probably a number of other things I don't know about yet. Yes, it's
pathetic. Yes, *any* other car on the road is better. But it's there. And
it works. And those are big advantages over having nothing at all.
That's all I'm saying about EDLIN — even if it's the worst in the world
(which it's not — I've used far worse), it beats having nothing at all.
Sheesh! How about cutting _me_ some slack then! 🙂
