Ariel, The VGA cable is custom (15 pins to 9). The straight-through cable (9 to 9) goes from the FF to the A/B switch. That's the cable that came with the Mitsubishi. The magic happens in the 9 pin to 25 pin A/B switch to Mitsubishi cable. The smear is very faint. I called Mitsuibishi, and they said it was a slightly misaligned gun. It's not bothersome enough to send back. At times I don't even notice it. They also said my unorthodox use of their cable sounded fine, and confirmed it was a straight-through. So I'm in business. Oh, I've also ordered a 23 pin to 25 pin to run from the Amiga's regular video port to the monitor so I can stick my genlock in there. I'll plug and unplug when I need to use it. I decided against an A/B/C, but it might be fun some day to try it. Lee
