Problem with my proposal is that it doesn't contain a _contract_, that is a place for _them_ to sign and commit themselves. At present all I have on book is _my_ proposal (ancient as it is) and the edited manuscript in hand. Publisher has been very pleasant in all phone conversations, but considering that they didn't get manuscript marked up until after their publication date according to contractual commitment to author was passed, I really have grave doubts as to what I (little ole contractless, dumb me) can expect. Not used to dealing with big city slickers I guess. So, ALL, get a contract!
