Workbench Go Boom!
Hi All,
We're having a problem with a friend's 500 which has otherwise been
working perfectly for over 6 months. The problem involves only the
Workbench and selecting icons and drawers. Upon boot-up (cold or warm)
after the LoadWB command is given, doule-clicking on a disk icon will only
give the effect of a single click, in other words, the icon will not open,
but will appear to be selected (highlighted). Clicking in any other area,
or window, will result in a frozen pointer. Popping out the disk and
re-inserting it will release the pointer AND open the previously selected
icon. Then trying to open any further drawers may or may not work properly,
but, removing and re-installing the disk will always result in the selected
drawer being opened. We have tried different WB disks, even an original
disk, and the problem is exactly the same. Any ideas?
