Get a Pacific Page cartridge for your LJII. All reports indicate output is great, fully PostScript compatible (uses Bitstream outlines, though, not Adobe), listed at about 695, available at about 495, not likely to be any slower than any other comparable (300 dpi) PS printer (slows LJ to about 2 ppm according to some statements). I'm waiting for one to come in on trial. Since it is to all intents and purposes a Postscript printer, you shouldn't have any problem with Mac programs. Check out messages here and on other forums for PacificPage as subject. Before you buy, however, call PacificPage (look for an ad) and check whether Mac format Bitstream fonts can be downloaded (you can download 4 outlines in addition to 35 usual resident font outlines). You need a 2MB memory board in the LJ to use the Pacific Page. If you don't already have this, of course, you have to add about 6 or 7 hundred $ to cost of adding PS to LJ. The LJ does have a serial connection port, which I think is what the Mac usually puts out via. (what a sentence construction!) You may be able to connect both your IBM and Mac and have PS _and_ PCL (not at the same time). Check that out with Hewlett Packard.
