Lee – Okay, there's got to be an answer somewhere. Here's the info about my system (it is a real funny one): IBM clone 386 20mHz; 140 mB HD running under VFeature, Phoenix BIOS (don't know the version number), Perstor 200 Series Advanced RLL Controller, and currently a Wyse 700 monochrome monitor. The VGA board is a HiRes 256 Version 2.2 and the monitor is a Samtron. I can get the monitor to work by altering the system configuration and all that jazz, but I can't get my applications to run – not even Ventura, and I did install the proper screen driver. It gives me a real pretty solid yellow screen and then a "not enough memory" message. Some applications, like PC Paintbrush Plus, won't even let me run a setup (but maybe that one doesn't support VGA?). However, WordStar runs just fine, as does ProComm Plus. Confusing!!! I hope these additional clues will solve the problem. I don't have any documentation on my motherboard, so I don't know if there is a switch or jumper on it to switch from mono to color, and the dealer I got the thing from doesn't remember what he put in here. ARGHH! Let me know if you get any bright ideas. –Welmoed
