The Amiga, in conjunction with a third party product called the Video Toaster, can do switching/fades/dissolves/all kinds of special effects *provided* that the VCRs are Time Base Corrected. There are also devices and software to control certain VCRs/Laser Disks, etc. Most of this can be script controlled through AREXX scripts. There's literally a whole slew of video oriented products out there. My closest Amiga dealer is actually a camera and video store who carries it solely for video production people in the area. It's really difficult to properly describe the toaster in a few words, and the words just don't do it justice. If you can find a place willing to demo one, go look at it. –>Steve Bennett
