#uchmore utility

Roger,
What's the advantage of Muchmore? I've seen it on the Fred Fish
diskettes. The smooth scrolling is certainly prettier.
Uedit would be interesting. When I used a Strip utility, it
bunched the text up too much to be easily readable without a lot of
editing.

I use MuchMore whenever reading any text, including a capture buffer. The
smooth, mouse-controlled scrolling is very nice (at least with version 2.5
-2.7 does NOT seem to have very smooth scrolling!), but the search feature
and ability to have it save a marked portion of the file are really
invaluable.
The problem with using a "dumb" strip program with VT100 code is that the
special VT100 "line-feed" type characters are also stripped out, resulting
in jumbled, hard to read text.
The UEDIT command I use changes VT100 line feeds to ASCII line feeds, and
keeps Hi-Lite On/Hi-Lite Off information. I mentioned MuchMore because
many other text readers I've seen will not provide Hi-Liting ("reverse
video" is what I should be saying, actually.)
