I also have a KV-1311CR ($449). I found the Sony 34-pin connector at an
electronics part store. It seems to fairly common. If you need any help
wiring a cable, let me know. I found after I had connected the Red, Green, and
Blue grounds separately that only one need be connected. I saw a message
somewhere (sorry) which gave the name and 800-number of an outfit selling
Amiga/Sony cables. Good luck!!!

Thank you for the offer of help. I got the "rarity" info from RAM Computers
of Beaverton, OR, who were polite but very skeptical about getting the parts,
which other companies don't seem to have any trouble stocking.
The 800 number you mention is probably for Cables-To-Go of Dayton, OH.
They will mail things C.O.D., which is nice. They were also very polite, but
they were also extremely knowledgeable—when I said "KV-1311CR"
the guy knew immediatly what I needed. Indeed, they were so pleasant I repeat t
their number here…800-826-7904. The cable was $29.95.
