Wayne, I think you are talking about C405. I'm looking at a Rev 4.1
layout, Rev 4.3 on a paper sticker. The DEB extends forward from the
Denise socket but the end of the board only overlaps the silkscreened white
circle by about 1/32 inch. If the capacitor is at all smaller in diameter
than the circle, it should fit. Peter.

Exactly – good old C405 (47mf, 16 w 3/8" diameter, 1/2" tall on my
machine). There is no circle visible, just the c405 label and that is
almost flush with the bottoms edge of the capcacitor. Whish I had a dealer
nearby so I could take my machine in for a fitting – sounds too close for
Mail order.
Oh, well. Guess its back to getting a 3000 to save my eyes…:^{
