Here are some guidelines that will help me catagorize and duplicate bugs you find in Egad. **** Please try and remember the last 5 to 10 things you did that led up to the GURU or "Software Error" or problem. I know that's hard to do, if you're busy making gadgets, but usually some problems start when something that APPEARS to be non-related happens. **** Please identify which TYPE of gadget caused the problem. As yourself: A) Was it a string gadget? b) Did it have an Image? and crash when I re-edited it?? c) When did you select the flags?? Before or After making the gadget? I am now gather up all bug reports and compiling them together with other reports from people on WELL, BIX, Usenet, and here on CIS. You can EasyPlex me here on CIS with your reports, and be as specific as you can in describing the problem. In my next message, I'll attempt to explain a little about the order in which things should be done, because there is a little bit of confusion about the sequence. It wasn't evident when the program was origionally designed, so people were doing things in such an order that caused crashes and problems. Eventually, subsequent bug fixings will take care of these problems, But I'll attempt to explain them here as a TEMPORARY work around which will at least get you started. It wasn't evident in the origional documentation.
