DPaintIV bug?

I am running DPaint IV on an amiga 500 with 3MB ram (512K is chip).
I am using a supra 500XP HD and when I load DPaintIV, if a program is not
running on the workbench screen, the workbench screen disappears.
Now, when I try to open the Workbench screen from DPaint, the
workbench menu item is already checkmarked – and when selected it says
"Workbench is already open". But it isn't!! I can never open the
workbench from within DPaint unless I quit the program.
Any ideas?

We are aware of this problem, and are currently looking to have it fixed.
No dates on when a revision will be available, as we are gathering other
problem reports. I will post a message on this forum when there is a date
to announce for the rev. Thank you in advance for your patience.
