Yea, near as I can tell (without ripping my 2000 apart, which I'll probably
have to do anyway) I have 3.7. Time for a few phone calls. Thanks for your

Well, I learned some interesting things during the past couple of days
about my GVP and 3070….it wasn't working quite as well as I thought.
While it seems to write everything I throw at it, it gets confused when it
gets to the end of the tape and starts it's second pass during the read.
Not too useful, huh? I tried this with both the BTN tape handler and the
DTapeHandler. There are two possibilities open to me…either get the GVP
TapeStore software, or wait for Quarterback 5.0. I'm waiting for
Quarterback.

Hmmmmm. Curiouser and curiouser. Well, I just ordered the upgrade ROM and
am waiting. Probably just as well, I tore apart my 2000 and discovered that
the FASTROM I have is only version 3.07. This may help solve some other
SCSI inconsistencies I've seen (like my quantum hanging for no good
reason).. Let me know how it goes. I am obviously interested.
