Black Belt Systems is contemplating changing the name of our image manipulation software, "Imagemaster". The reason for this is that in the United Kingdom, the name "Image Master" is already in use, and we cannot market our product under the same name in that country. We would be very interested to see any suggestions anyone might have for a new name. We're looking for something catchy, medium to short in length, and easy to remember. Any implication of martial arts is also a plus, but not required. If we choose the name you suggest, we'll provide you with a free copy of the program as thanks. Thanks for any suggestions you might have. –Ben

Name it anything but "xxxxxxxx Professional". ;^) That would make it too long anyway. Hmmmmm. Kaleidoscope n [gk KALOS beautiful + EIDOS form + E -scope — more at calligraphy, idol]. 1: an instrument containing loose bits of colored glass between two flat plates and two plane mirrors so placed that changes of position of the bits of glass are reflected in an endless variety of patterns. 2: a variegated changing pattern or scene. 1. 1. Webster's Seventh New Collegiate Dictionary Sounds like an industry leader to me. Of course someone has probably already used it. ….Mark Sterling 74335,1677

How about "Massage"? A lot of people would buy it for the name alone, but since massagind image data is what it does…. and it's almost a martial art. (or a venerial art) I, for one, try to stay clear of anything with "PRO" as part of its name. A professional recognises professional work no matter what its called. Also, it implied there's a non-pro version of the software, which is not true in your case (yet… I doubt you plan to release an AMiga lo-res only version of IM) Also stay away from "Super", "Cyber","Deluxe" and "Ultra","Mega","Mini","Micro",and "MAxi". How about "Mighty Image" or, emphasizing the PI modules, "Public Image" (PIL might be offended). Just a couple dozen suggestions, that's all. P.S. I like IP 8.0? which I downloaded when I got the HAM-E box back. Thanks to the tech staff for the fix, too!
