I have just obtained a Star NX-2420 printer. I was wondering if there is a Word Processing program that will allow me to print out color text in a document. This would be most helpful fo my buisness. Thanks, <<<Bruce Powell>>>

Bruce, Both ProWrite and QuickWrite will allow you to print using colored text on your printer. ProWrite goes further by letting you use multiple fonts and pictures in your documents (as well as having more advanced features, such as a thesaurus, speaking, and so on). Bruce, I'm pretty sure that you could print in color with either ProWrite or with PenPal. They both support color graphics. In fact, I just checked in my own version of ProWrite (kinda old – I'm still using version 2.5 from 1989), and it lets you change the color of the text at will. Betty

Betty, Unless they changed it in some version later than what I have, I don't think Pen Pal will print colored text in NLQ or Draft mode. Only in graphics mode. ProWrite and QuickWrite will print colored text in any printer mode. James Bayless New Horizons Software, Inc.

Hmm…. you know, James, I tried ProWrite and checked to see that it worked in color. I did not try PenPal. My apologies for not checking both. PenPal was no longer on my hard disk, so it was lots easier to check ProWrite.
