Is that genlock "Broadcast Quality" or a hobbiest Genllock?
…Joel
Joel,
Thats a tough one for me to answer as I am not an expert in this area.
This unit sold for around $700 mail order in 89 the same price as Supergen.
I was rated 4 stars by INFO in the sept/oct 89 video hardware roundup the
same as Supergen but less than the Magni 4004. Here is what Oran J. Sands
III said about it:
"The Gen/One is an attractively cased, higher priced
genlock that has a very clean signal but few bells and whistles."
The front panel has the on/off switch, Sync source switch, normal/reverse
keying switch and 15-turn trimer adjusters for Imput: R,G,B
Output: Video,Y,C & System timing: Horizontal,Vertical and Subcarrier
timing.
The back panel has 2 video 1 key 1 Y 1C connectors and a 9 pin monitor
port on the output side and an Amiga video port, video and loop connector
with a switch on the input side.
I'm not sure its "Broadcast Quality" its someware a little under the
Supergen but way above anything else available below the $600 price range.
It is brand new (even has the registration card but the company has gone
under). You might find a better one with heavy use on it when someone
upgrades but they are few and far between. Hope this helps its honestly all
I can tell you 🙂
