Gregg: You have the first part right… the newer version of PharLap is both VCPI and DPMI compliant, and can therefore be set up as a PIF file in Windows. Actually, this is possible with v2.6 to some degree. Lemme know if you need the details. The second part, however, is not correct. You will still loose some performance, due to the memory overhead of Windows and the drain/strain of the GUI. Loss can be anywhere from 10 to 25%, depending on configuration and use. Larry
