Are there any plans for a utility that will allow Animator fli's and sound files to be "compiled" into the Microsoft MMM format so they may be played by the Media Player?

Suzanne, Good question! I also want to do this. I want to import fli's into either Authorware Pro for Windows or into ICON Author. I'd be curious to hear what you learn. John

There is an Autodesk Windows Software Development kit available from Autodesk Developer Relations that provides examples of how to play FLI/FLC files in Authorware, Toolbook, Visual Basic and C. I have found it very easy to write a file browsing utility using this kit. As far as converting the FLI/FLC to MMM format, you really don't want to do that! Why load the whole thing into memory when you can stream it from disk?

Suzanne, The only conversion I know of is from Director to .mmm. *Very* expensive Macromind util. I would also like to do this, however I am skeptical that it could be done sucessfully. MIke
