#Slide Show for LCD Panel
3 messages in this thread
Greetings —
A client of mine has asked me to look into the possibility of providing
graphic files on disk for use with an LCD panel for overhead projection.
I'm fairly confident that we can scan or create the art on our Macs, and
translate it to PCX or TIFF for the IBM.
I'm stumped, though, as to what software exists for the IBM that could
serve as a slide show program.
It could be very simple. All we need to do is be able to display onscreen,
preferably without other clutter, a specified graphic file.
Anything like that exist out there in the public domain or as an
inexpensive commercial product?
Thanks in advdance for any info.

There's a whole bunch of PC programs that create slide shows on PC's. Any
of them will work on an LCD overhead projector. I am aware of:
PC Partner by Brightbill-Roberts
The Magician by IMSI
Presentation Partner by Computer Accessories Corp.
GRASP by Paul Mace Software
Storyboard by IBM
Corel Draw
I think there's a number of shareware programs on IBMAPP or IBMSYS that
also do slideshows. I know of PRESENT and CSHOW, both are shareware. I
suspect there are others.

Whoa, what a list! I'll forward this to my client and let him thrash it
out. Thanks for the input!
