Does anybody know where to get the latest version of mscdex which is compatible with Dos 5.0?

Check LASER3.TXT in Lib #4 for sources; the SMS BBS therein is back in operation. Additionally, you can purchase from MLNC at 800-264-3799 (v2.20 only, so it's not the latest, latest) or Meridian Data, 800-767-2537. But do try your hardware mfg. first; that's liable to be free, if you can stand the frustration. You might even score v2.21. Best of luck! Kevin–

David, If you can stand to wait a couple of weeks, Windows 3.1 is being released April 6/7, and it eliminates the need for MSCDEX (or includes it, whichever). I got a mailer to upgrade 3.0 to 3.1 last week, and when I called to order was told it will be shipped to arrive Apr 6/7, to coincide with the official release date. Kathy

Kathy, are you sure about that? I know that Windows 3.1 will include the Multimedia Extensions, but I was unaware that it would also include the CDROM extensions- MSCDEX. – Dwight –

Dwight, I'm reasonably certain. I'll do some literature searching and let you know. Kathy
