#PC Emulators

I have a question about the various PC emulators out on the market now.
What I want to do is be able to play PC PD games like Commander Keen and
Duke Nukem on my Amiga. I don't want to spend a LOT of money and I don't
want to buy a second monitor. These are the kinds of things I want:
.) Show up to EGA graphics on the Amiga Monitor.
.) Use both the 3 1/2" drives and a 5 1/4" drive I've got.
.) Speed. Speed. Speed.
I don't mind complicated installations. I installed 2.04 myself and I
soldered an Insider board on my A1000, so removing the cover is no big
deal. In fact, I rather enjoy it. By the way, I'm running an A2000 under
2.04 with a GVP board (itself running a 40M Quantum and 2M mem expansion).
I'm very interested in comparing the cost of third-party emulators as
compared to the Commadore Bridgeboards. I saw an ad for the Supra emulator
but it didn't give a price.

Hmmm sound like you might want to get the ATonce 16 mhz version. I do
belive it has an adaptor that lets you use it with your A2000, and it also
lets you display up to VGA mono graphics, I would think EGA at prehaps 16
color would be possible also. It also lets you use your floppys and
monitor, printer and serial port etc.
I think it sells for around $200 or so…
This sound like the best price/preformance for the things that you have
stated you want in a PC emualtor.
I personaly would prefer a the new 386SX 20 mhz BB with a multi-function
SCGA card, its own 240 meg hard drive and a sound blaster pro.. but thats
me 🙂
