We've posted a special offer for owners of the following packages: Butcher – Any Version Pixmate – Any Version Art Department – Any Version Transfer 24 – Any Version We're providing an easy, no disadvantage to you method to "power-up" your image handling software tool collection! See the file "offer3.txt" in DL6 of AmigaVendor for details.

Ben, do you plan on offering a special deal for us Ham-E/IP owners to purchase ImageMaster? I know you can do most of the stuff from IP, but sometimes it's easier to work in some of native Amiga grahphic's modes, especially if you want to render to them. John – K7KB (via Whap!)

John, there is nothing setup now (because frankly, it seemed absurd to even worry about it) but I'm sure something could be worked out – probably at the same kind of price level that offer3 works with. I can't promise anything, but I'll bring it up Weds. and they'l _probably_ ok it. Ben

Ben: And possibly a deal for Im owners that want to have Im/Fc24 as well as just Im? I like using the standard Amiga display, but there are times I wish I could use the Fc24 as more than an output device with Im. I've already paid $200.00 for Im, so I wouldn't want to have to pay the full price of ImFC24 too! Or maybe you could make the fc24 version more like Im in that it could use either the fc24 or normal Amiga modes for it's display? -Mike Schiller In sunny Fort Lauderdale

I'll add that to the list – we've also got two other "types" of Imagemaster cooking, and I'll talk about those, too. I think this is, in general, a good idea. Ben

Ben: Which idea do you think is the good one, adding ImageMaster/FC to the special deal, or merging ImageMaster into the FC version? (so I wouldn't need 2 different versions 1 for FC one for standard screen) -Mike Schiller In sunny Fort Lauderdale

Adding Imagemaster to the special deal. The other won't be possible. Ben

Ben, Let me add a "please" to the idea of extending the offer to imagemaster/fc. I'm ready to spring at the deal in any case, but since I have a firecracker, imagemaster/fc would be more useful to me. By the way, I note from your address you're living near where I grew up, "just down the road" in Wolf Point. Small world. How's the winter? -dave

This winter, for some reason, has been very mild except for one short (1 week) spurt at -20F at the end of October. Cold Halloween for the kiddies… :^) Last winter was more typical, -40f/c (see, Vic?) quite a bit, -55f one bitter morning. Remember that with Imagemaster F/c, you *must* run in the overlay mode. Imagemaster doesn't do that, because all the primary work is done in Amiga modes, then loaded out to the FC24 whenever you like. Ben

I'm an IP user for now & now that I also have FC, I want both IM and IM/FC24! They all seem same but they all have specific benifitial points…. IP for quick upgrade->IM for standard mode graphic viewing->&IM/FC for high quality & quick response. So I second Mike for giving current user a slack for other version. – THANX R.SATOH ->via Whap!

Rawl: What I'd really like to see is one unified version so that people that have the Hame-E and FC can just choose which one, or to use the standard Amiga display at any time from within the program. The same should hold true for the IV24 and any other display devices BBS decides to support. This way you could set a default display device, but by going to the settings menu (or maybe another menu just for displays) set whatever display you wanted to use for the session. I really hope Ben likes this idea. -Mike Schiller In sunny Fort Lauderdale

We already support that as far as we're going to, Mike. Drivers for all display devices will be available for any board we can get our hands on. Special versions of the image processing software will be produced very rarely. It's a lot of work to do, and rarely justified, I think. Ben

Mike, the IM/Fc24 package is great! The speed increase alone is worth it, since IM doesn't have to calculate the new palettes, etc… it just draws the picture. IMHO. But I agree with you, ideally one should not have to purchase the program several times at full price. –jp–seattle–
