Does anyone know why the fastrom option of cpu doesn't work on my 4000?
I'm pretty sure it has the full 68040 (vice the 'EC040) (But then again,
how does one tell short of eyeballing the chip?)
Or is it even needed?
The MMU in the '040 (the hardware that "moves" the memory) is different.
The CPU command isn't smart enuf to do it. There's a hack in the library
you can use, browse for TIBBS – he's the author. Haven't tried it, can't
vouch for it, but it IS there. Was, anyway. :^)
