#Problems with AAWIN
4 messages in this thread
This ghosting is not an experience that I recognize. I would first make sure
you have the most up to date Windows drivers for your card. There may be no
problem running it with Windows Setup as a plain VGA card (other than colors!).
Try that to see if the ghosting symptom goes away. If so, I'd see if the #9
card has a different driver…
Good luck. These things can be tough to figure out, particularly when they
happen to one program and not to others.
Anyone else ??
Hi Nik,
I'm going to try the standard TIGA driver that shipped with Windows 3.1.
This is a 256 color only TIGA driver. If it still fails, I'll call #9 and post
messages to Autodesk. It appears to be isolated to the Windows version of the
animation player. If I use AAPLAYHI with Vibrant's fantastic "ProRes/ANIMATOR
driver", from DOS, everything works fine. I get some pretty nice animation in
high-res TIGA modes.
Thanks,
Kurt Gengenbach
Kurt,
I have some problems with AAWIN and the VB player with a Hercules Chrome card
as well. What type of symptoms are you getting?

Sure, well known problem…
Using the Diamond SpeedStar 24 x with more than 256 colors (aaplay started via
dll from another program), this happens…. Also by running it on its own….
Looks funny, but our customers don't seem to like it that much <G>..
