Dear Yost group, A simple suggestion to help us help you develop applications for 3ds in Landscape Architecture. Problem: How to get aniplay or ani to display through our targa 16 + board and fill the computer screen fully? The Targa plus drv give a good image, it goes to my home vcr but its sooooo damn small! Not a way to convince people the merit of your products. Frustrated Holding my breath Curt Westergard 410-740-9349

There's no ani pro display driver for the old Targa16 board, but there is an excellent driver for the new Targa+. – G

Curt, Just use the Targa+ driver for Animator Pro (from Truevision – on the Targa+ setup disks). You need to set the Targa+ to display 512x486x16-bit overscan mode. You will need to create any animations in the same resolution. You can do this by running Animator Pro directly on the Targa+, or rendering from 3D Studio @ 512×486 with an aspect ratio of approximately 1.23 Kevin Krell – Computer Support Associates

I hadn't realized that it was a problem. (I'll confess that I haven't used the targa to output to a VCR.) But have you configured the Targa correctly? Our setup includes the following in the autoexec.bat: set targa=247 (see config: 0xD000 + 0x220) set targaset=T16X0Y0I0BGC51H51S53P200 (T16=Targa type X and Y screen position offsets Interlaced default Genlock On to external source Contrast control default Hue default Saturation (58 is the default) Scanlines in NTSC field) c:\tplus\tmode 11 (NTSC, 512x486x32) and in the config.sys: device=c:\tplus\targap.sys md i220 (memory segment 0xD000 base IO address 0x220) Does any of this help? Best, Nik
