I am certainly no expert, but it is my understanding that multi-session
capability allows you to go back and add files later. Older CDs looked for what
would equate to a FAT at the beginning of the disc which would tell it where to
find the file you were looking for. Kodak or whoever realized that people would
want to put some photos on the CD, but might not fill it up.
