#Translator Eng/French

I am looking for a CD rom that will translate English/French and vice versa.
Preferably to do whole sentences, any ideas wher to go??

I would submit that you are looking for a program to do automatic translation,
whether or not it is on CDROM. Non? There are any number of cross-language
dictionaries on disc, but translators are hard to come by and a re frequently
either looked up as "classified" or are still in university labs. Having some
background in this area, I would also submit that if you can't find a program
that translates at the sentence level, it ain't gonna be of much use.

Nothing I know is on CD ROM, but there are some inexpensive but limited (in
vocabulary) translators that do a serviceable job at less than $100 a language,
and GlobalLink is an exceptional program with a fair level of vocabulary,
parsing, etc. skills in its $295 per language modules and a superb
sentence-by-sentence document translator in its high end ($895 and up)
versions. These are available from many/most computer mail order houses and
GlobalLink always advertises in BYTE.
