We are trying to find out the best way to put our 3DS animations onto video tape and edit them once they're on tape. The equipment we are thinking about is SONY Y EVO-9700 for editing, SONY EVO-9650 for single frame recording, along with DiaQuest DQ-232 and Targa +32 board. We are open to input and suggestions for other equipment & ideas. We would consider other formats besides hi-8. We plan to upgrade from a 486 pc to an sgi machine eventually and would like to be able to use the same video equipment with both.

James: If you are talking about making the investment in an SGI, you might want to consider the Sony Laser Disk Recorder. MUCH higher quality than Hi-8 or SVHS. Greg Pyros
