Well this the third time I have requested any information or
comments about the NEC CDR77 CDROM Drive.. For some reason each
post disappears after 1 day. In anycase, I am looking for any/all
info on the CDR77.. Thanks.. And maybe this message will stay
around for awhile!?
I'd like more information on the NEC CDR77 drive, too. I think it must be
an older drive, since some of my friends have found it for sale at
unbelievably low prices in the Dallas area. It would almost have to be
SCSI, for they are using them on Amigas, but I don't know any more than
that.

What kind of information do you need? The CDR-77 is a first generation drive.
It uses a proprietary caddy and is pretty slow by today's standards.
NEC may even be able to help you… I think they still caddys for the CDR-77.
