Why Don't you still sell the HamE? Wouldn't it be very marketable for people
like me who have A3000 and don't want to fork out the extra for an AGA machine
but need the increased colors & resolution? Do you still have any laying
around that you'd sell?
Thanks
Matt
We stopped selling the HAM-E for a number of reasons; the main one was
financial, but we stopped earlier than we WOULD have because we though the
AGA machines were immanent. They were not, but too late to fix that now.
The best bet for a 3000 is a DCTV at this point. No, there are no new
units around at all.

You said "no New units"! Does that imply that there are used units available?
Matt
Nope – sorry for misleading you.

Local Dealer to me has exactly 1 HAME unit for Sale Brand new in the Box.
He has had it on his shelf for Quite sometime. The name of the place is
Computer Software plus on Kings Highway in Brooklyn NY
Peter,
Thanks for the info! Do you happen to have a number and a price?
Thanks
Matt
Unless yer in the NY area Ph # and Price will be pretty useless dude.
This store is Retail only, no Mail Order
Still want the #????
Matt, I think BBS has gotten out of the Hardware Biz, I use DCTV to good
Effect and they just droped the price to $299 so you might consider that
option. Espescially if yer intended destination is Video Tape since DCTV
puts out a NTSC signal that yer VCR will Happily accept with no need for
an encoder/genlock.
Due to it's NTSC nature the image is a bit "FUZZY" but quite nice.
It also allows QUICK playback of yer DCTV anims in MOST cases.
I think there is a RGB option for the DCTV now (although I think the price is a
bit steep).
Nick
There is, I think it's $199 now that DC dropped their prices but it is
still taking a NTSC signal and then converting to RGB. Not the Best Signal
possible I'm sure.
Mathew,
I hope to be able to get a 4000 within the next month. I will probably sell my
Ham-e then. If you are interested, I'll post a message here when it's
available.
Any body have any opinions re the value of a used ham-e? $50? $100? $150?
$0.50?
Rich
Richard,
I'd be very interested in your Ham-E. Please let me know when and how much! 8)
Matt
Matt,
I'll let you know as soon as I get my 4000.
