for sale 3 prodesigner iis's with the 32k sierra dac installed with driver disks. 50.00 each. 2 genoa 7900's 16million colors 100.00 each. all cards have 1 meg mem 1 dva-4000 multimedia board with mic software cost 3000 sell 500.00 this unit can controll two video sources and two audio sources, capture video images, software runs under windows, also can support the new video for windows. the reason for selling is i just got through with upgrading all my systems to local video bus systems and i don't do multimedia anymore so i don't need the videologic dva-4000 anymore. also one maxtor 320 meg esdi for sale works ok 100.00 with cables. don't need him any more because all systems are now 1 gig 3 1/2 ide's drives. and i already sold all my other esdi drives. sherwood animations 805 650-2542

well they (the esdi drives) have benn running for me for about 3 years now with no problems but the usual. you need to do a speed disk every couple of weeks and run the disk doctor to make sure you are not getting any growth defects. there good disk drives , but i opted to get the newer ide 1 gig drives because they have self checking error routines so i don't have to keep checking for defects every 3 or four months. also the newer systems coming out in the next few months from intel and matsuba only support the 3 1/2 inch hard disks. the reason being they said was the radio interference fron the full height drives makes the p5 go crazy. sherwood

the same as the prodesigner iis i could not find any difference in speed. i don't think there designed as a speed inhancement product. i got them because i wanted to get 24 bit color on the systems that did not have a targa + or vita in them. they are based on the tseng 4000 chip set. i REPLACED them with the local bus genoa 8500 for the speed increase. i have no problem playing back at 30 frames a second with the local bus 8500 and a micropolis 2112a 10 ms 1 gig hard disk. so if your in to speed them get the local bus upgrade for your system. here in ventura teltron computers put in three local bus upgrades (2-66 mhz 1 50mhz) for 275.00 dollars including the card and a new motherboard. they just need your processor. but if you just need the color then its a good choice the 7900. sherwood

I'll have to run this by the company that's providing my hardware at the moment, but it seems to me the local bus upgrade is probably the way to go. If not I might be interested in 1 card. I'll let you know (if we're interested) in the next few days. Thanks, Chris Barnes
