Jack's answer is the same as mine. Except, I didn't see his answer until after
I had written this!
Animator doesn't have a PURGE command like AutoCAD's, by the way. The way a
flic file stores the info is based on pixels. A pretty complete image of the
first frame is built up, and then the subsequent frames are built by specifying
the differences in the pixels between the previous frame and the current frame.
I tend to work with shorter lengths and play them back in a script file. I
hate the long load-up time, and I shudder to think of a mistake that might
loose all the animation for me! You might be better off trying to keep the
segments shorter. I discovered that I liked working with a sheet of paper with
a number of 3×3" squares, with images that represented each animation. I could
comfortably shuffle around the order! (Storyboarding, I guess)
