Howdy…I have been using an NEC CDR-36 drive for about a year now. I have
only recently started using MPC disks (with .WAV and .AVI files) and the
transfer time on the drive seems very slow. I tried MPC Wizard on it and came
up with a transfer rate of 22K/sec. This was verified by copying a 15 Meg file
to my hard drive. I called NEC but their tech support didn't have specs for
the 36. The manual states a transfer rate of 150K/sec but doesn't say whether
this is burst or sustained. Can anyone tell me whether these transfer rates
are OK? Thanks in advance.

P.S. The drive is run off a 486 Local bus PC and a Trantor T128 SCSI card.
