TO: CDROM Drives/Hardware HELP! Can anyone tell me how to obtain DRIVERS of OS/2 Ver. 2.1 for my CD-ROM Drive Sony CDU-31A? I have sent urgent requests for help to SONY Technical Support – but, they are very uncooperative and non-responsive to my request for HELP. The Drive works well in DOS. It is connected to a PAS16 standard SCSI port on the slot card PAS16. Also, I have been able to address the drive by making a bootdisk for Drive A to boot from OS/2. But, I need a DRIVER so OS/2 will put an ICON on the Desktop for the CD reader Drive. Thanks for any advice to my ID show above. C.Gurganu

GO MEDIAVISION and download the OS/2 2.??? beta CD rom driver and see if it will work with your drive. I remeber reading over there that the mediavision rep said that the internal Sony's that came with the FUSION 16 kits were IDE (not SCSI) and would not be supported for several months. The external fusion kits (w/NEC drives) are supported now. You need to get the driver from the controller maker, so grab the file from them – if it doen't work, you will have to wait for them to get around to making the driver. Dennis
