I have installed a Mitsumi Internal CD-ROM and am trying to send all its sound output to my Soundblaster II card. The sound card has no built-in CD input facility. Therefore I fitted 1) a lead with 2 phono plugs into the two sockets on the CD interface card. 2) at the other end of the lead is a single phono plug which goes into a jackplug adaptor. 3) the jackplug goes into the LINE_IN socket on my Soundblaster card. With me so far ? great, so. . .why doesn't it work? What am I doing wrong please and is there a known solution? If anyone out there can help I shall be most grateful, I'm fed up with constantly unhooking my speakers from the back of the machine, rehooking them to the CD-ROM headphone socket at the front and so on! I use my CDROM the same way. You need to check to see the line input sound volume is set at — normally it was so low that you will never hear the sound. Example of setting the line volume: SBP-SET /M:10 /VOC:10 /CD:10 /FM:10 /LINE:15 The /LINE:15 PARAMETER SETS THE LINE VOLUME. I Hope that helps. Allen
