Hi. Can anyone tell me if MicroSolutions' CD-ROM drive is a good choice to buy?
The feature that I like is: NO INTERFACE CARD. Their "backpack" concept allows
you to just plug into any parallel port on any IBM-compat. Based on these
specs: Max transfer rate is 150 KB/s Comes with 8KB device driver 128KB cache
memory included in the drive Comes with built-in audio circuit/headphone/line
output jacks Simplified CD loading system; no cartridge needed Compatible with
DOS v3.1 or higher Price is $499
Are these good features? I'm looking to buy my first CD-ROM drive and wonder
how they compare. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
