Hi. Can anyone recommend, to a first-time buyer, a good CD-ROM drive? What are
some of the features to look for if you want to spend about $300-$500? Any info
would be greatly appreciated.

I service PC systems and have an insurance co. that pounds NEC CDR-73 drives
daily and they keep on running, so if reliability is your
concern you could look at NEC.
