Animation is a hobby of mine. I'm looking for a good way to go from
VGA to video tape. I know there are many options but those with good
results are a little too costly for me to justify (DPS PAR comes to
mind). I recently saw an ad for Orchid Videola Premium. It inputs 24
bit video at 320x240x30fps using an MPEG daughterboard. It outputs to
video at full screen using some interpolation algorhythm. At a MSRP
of less than $900 it sounds ideal; I could mix video with animation,
etc. Comes with Adobe Premiere and has 2 control L connectors to
control the video input & output. My question is whether anyone has
any experience with the quality of the output, because if it sounds
too good to be true it usually is. I can't find a local dealer to
demo it. Any thoughts, experience, or other ideas are most welcome.
