I can elaborate a little. The 68010 can be directly plugged into the 68000 socket on your Amiga. All the Amiga system software is compatible, especially the 1.1 release (which was carefully screened for any 010/020 problems). The 68020 can't just be plugged in. However, Computer System Associates in San Diego (619/566-3911) makes a 68020/68881 board for 68000 development systems. The board plugs into the 68000 socket. Vic Wintriss, president of CSA, bought an Amiga and plugged his board in. It worked perfectly, and he got some tremendous improvements in performance. I think it's another example of just how *right* the Amiga was designed. ..bfw..
