#Let Down
4 messages in this thread
Hi Ben,
This is not a complaint, but, I feel let down by Black Belt. I ordered my
copy of WinImages Morph the day after you announced its release. When the F/X
program was released I ordered the program and paid what I considered a very
fair price. So what is my complaint?
In the Graphdev forum you posted some messages stating that the F/X
program is being bundled with the WinImage Morph program. So in effect, late
comers, are getting the F/X program for free. While those of us who supported
Black Belt by purchasing its program when it first hit the market are being
penalized. Do I expect something for nothing? No, just equal and fair. I know
that Black Belt will soon be releasing either upgrades or a new addition to the
WinImages series. Are us early supporters of Black Belt going to have to pay
upgrade fees for these also, while others get the software for free?
Thanks
Ralph Marbach
Ralph,
I'm sorry you feel "let down".
What you got for your early support was the ability to use the program for
longer than others did. This is a tangible benefit.
As time goes on, you can expect the price/performance ratios of our
software to continue to rise; whether in the case of bundled programs, or
added features, or actual lower costs, progress will continue.
Just as most people don't expect to be given a new computer when the next
model comes out with more features & less cost, it is not reasonable to
expect to be given new software – it costs companies real money, just as
hardware does, to develop. The disks aren't the "real" cost. Development
is.
For our part, we will continue to keep upgrade costs low, yet the upgrades
themselves powerful; as a consumer, you are always the final arbiter of
when, what and why to purchase.
