Can I buy a external Mac SCSI HD, connect it to a 3000 and format it?
Do only certain drives work? Which ones (I look in the 500MB range)?
Thanks, Alain
Scsi drives are scsi drives…you should have no problems. Lots of us
shop for SCSI goodies in the Mac magazines. Quantum has an excellent
reputation for both speed and reliability. A number of Mac vendors make
their own external drives, but don't always tell you what's under the
hood. Microbotics has some excellent free formating and prep software
that you can download from the vendor forum.
Good luck.
